The King and I (1956)

The classic Rogers and Hammerstein musical, The King and I, was made into a movie, and so here's it's review. The songs almost have almost the exact same tune as the songs in the musical The Sound of Music, but they still warm your heart. The story is very moving, and it is a movie that pretty much all people will cry at the sadness and the wonder. The songs are lovely, the story is heartwarming, the acting for all of the people and the six hundred children in it is amazing, and the movie did win 5 Oscars. This is definitely not the 'action flick of the 50s.' I don't even know if there is an 'action flick of the 50s.' This is an almost perfect movie for that 'family movie night', as it is rated G. Hum the tunes, do a jig, and pop in the disc!
