Race to Witch Mountain (2009)

I've never seen Escape to Witch Mountain or Return from Witch Mountain, so I can't compare the old to the new. But right now the new seems pretty darn good! In the next edition of the alien movie review marathon of KidViews, I say that Witch Mountain is really good. The movie, starring Dwaene Johnson and Annasophia Robb, is locked and loaded with the kind of effects that are only seen in PG-13 flicks. Take any alien flick take out the language and 'special themes', turn it around a bit, (a bit more, a little bit more, no that's too much, perfect!) and you get Race to Witch Mountain. This is one to get. Get it. Now!

Alien (1979)

As seen on A&E. You know, I really love those channels that take R and PG-13 movies into lesser innapropriate content. That is how I could see Alien, Fun With Dick and Jane, and The Matrix. (see July 2009 for the review of The Matrix; June 2009 for Fun With Dick and Jane) This movie is so so so awesome. It is understandable why this movie spawned 5 sequels. I would recommend this movie to anybody and everybody. If you even have a microscopic craving for the joy of science fiction, this movie is for you. And you. And you. Watch it. It rocks. A lot.

Aliens in the Attic (2009)

I'm going to do a big alien movie marathon of reviews here on KidViews. So, what movie better to start it off with than Aliens in the Attic? Actually, I could think of something and more, but I'll cut to the chase. Not that bad. The movie is sufficient if you're looking for a good family summer comedy, but an action-packed alien flick is not found here. As a child, I must say that I liked this movie. A lot. That's it. Go away! Go home! Or if you are home, eat a hot dog! Or something like that...
